UX Design Resources

* Re-post from Medium article

A few designers have reached out to me recently about design resource suggestions, such as what books I read and online tutorials I find useful. I wanted to provide an updated list of my go-to tools and resources.

The below resources are either free or don’t require a significant upfront cost. Being a Designer doesn’t have to be expensive, and in my experience you don’t need a master’s degree (or any design degree really) to become a successful Designer.

Some of these resources are books or articles, which may not be the best learning resources for you. When I’m learning a new skill, I like to do a combination of reading resources and applying skills to side projects or projects a work project. Online tutorials can also be great, as long as you’re consistent in going through tasks and absorb the knowledge by completing the tutorials.
